About Course
Write a 15-Minute Outline That Adds Up is a focused micro-course that teaches CEU authors and presenters how to design a concise, balanced outline that totals the stated runtime and demonstrates instructional intent. In approximately 15 minutes, participants learn a reusable template, complete a live fill-in exercise, and apply quick heuristics to validate timing and content balance.
Who should take this
- CEU authors, presenters, and instructional designers who build micro-learning sessions.
- Marketing and A&D program owners responsible for compliant submissions.
- LMS administrators who verify that content minutes align with course objectives and assessment.
What you will learn
- Runtime allocation: Distribute minutes across introduction, core instruction, activity or scenario, and recap.
- Alignment: Show an explicit chain from objective → content → time (and, if applicable, → assessment).
- Quality control: Identify and remove “marketing detours” so that at least three-quarters of the time is instructional.
Learning outcomes
By the end of this course, participants will be able to: (1) allocate minutes to the introduction, core instruction, activity, and recap; (2) document objective → content → time alignment; and (3) detect and eliminate marketing detours that do not support the objectives.
Format & requirements
- Approximately 12–13 minutes of instruction followed by a 5-question quiz (80% minimum passing score).
- Downloadable outline template and self-check list (optional resource).
- No prerequisites; suitable for all levels.
Note. This course is instructional and non-proprietary and is intended for internal manufacturer training; it is not offered for designer credit.
